Description
F-Body 12 Bolt Rear End
Whether you prefer street or strip, building horsepower for your GM F-Body platform can only get you so far in drag racing. Eventually, you’re going to have to get all those ponies to the pavement. That’s where the Strange Engineering’s F-Body 12 Bolt Rear End comes into play.
The Strange 12 bolt casting is much stronger than an OEM 12 bolt housing, while still accepting the same components. The Strange casting is created from proprietary nodular iron formula which is much stronger than cast iron. Then by integrating expertly welded F-Body mounts for the chassis, the Strange F-Body 12 Bolt rear end provides a vast improvement to the weaker 10 bolt rears found in most F-Body cars.
Strange has designed the torque arm mount as part of the case which also allows for a 3 channel ABS sensor. It is a replacement for the extremely weak 7.625”, but can also be used in any leaf spring application. Our F-Body 12 Bolt Rear End may also be purchased with no mounts or with leaf spring mounts to fit other high-performance applications.
Which one is right for you.
The Strange F-Body 12 Bolt Rear End is available in any state of completion from a bare housing to a fully built differential. Race Axles (33 or 35-spline) and axle tubes may be ordered in factory length or custom made to accommodate your wheel and tire setup. Wheel studs are offered in your choice of 12mm, .500-inch or .625-inch diameter and numerous bolt circle configurations.
Gear sets and axles may be selected in standard or Pro Race and complete Strange 12 bolt rear ends come with a steel cover (aluminum cover available), S-Series pinion yoke, and pinion yoke u-bolt set. Strange Engineering rear disc brake packages are sold separately.
