Description
Manual Brake Conversion Kit For 1979-1993 Mustang
Don’t need your power brakes any more? When switching to a manual brake system, you can save some weight and gain additional room in a crowded engine bay.
It can be difficult to maintain enough engine vacuum at low RPM with a large cam to operate your power brakes, this is because the engine does not have a vacuum draw from the power assist booster. Plus the removal of the bulky power assist booster saves a good amount of space under the hood.
1979-1993 Fox Body Mustang Manual brake conversion kit. Fits automatic & manual transmission pedal boxes. A new billet aluminum adapter plate bolts to the firewall in place of the vacuum booster. The kit also includes the 1.125” bore aluminum master cylinder, new push rod, dust boot, rod end, banjo fittings, and all necessary mounting hardware.
Not for Street Use
The stock pedal ratio would not be correct and could result an increase in stopping distance. Modifications to the brake pedal and brake lines are required as per the instructions included in the conversion Kit. The Strange Manual Brake Conversion Kit is NOT intended for use with a stock, unmodified braking system.
